What's included in the all-inclusive rental?
Everything you need for your Hokkaido adventure:
• Vehicle rental (cab-con camper van)

How does handover and return work?
Handover (30–60 minutes): We meet you in person in Sapporo. We verify your identity and driver's license, conduct a full vehicle walkaround with photo documentation, provide a comprehensive safety briefing (including winter driving protocols), and explain all vehicle operations and gear usage.
Return (30–45 minutes): We inspect the vehicle together, check for any damage or missing items, confirm fuel level, and process any additional charges if applicable.
What are the winter driving rules?
Winter driving in Hokkaido can be extremely dangerous. You must:
• Follow all road closures and restrictions
• Drive at speeds appropriate for ice/snow conditions
• Keep safe distance and avoid sudden braking
• Avoid driving in storms or whiteout conditions

We provide detailed route recommendations and winter safety protocols during handover.
How does the internet work?
The vehicle is equipped with year-round high-speed internet that works even in remote areas. Setup instructions and troubleshooting guidance are provided in your English digital guide and during handover.
What about the security deposit and insurance?
Security Deposit: 50% of the total rental charge (minimum JPY 100,000). The deposit may be applied to damage, missing items, severe cleaning, or other charges per our Terms & Conditions.
Insurance: The vehicle is covered by automobile insurance for rental operations. Coverage includes third-party liability, personal injury, and vehicle damage (may include deductible). Full details are provided at handover. See Insurance & Deposit for more information.
What are the rental requirements?
• Minimum age: 25 years old
• Valid International Driving Permit (1949 Geneva) or official Japanese translation
• Minimum 3 nights rental
• All drivers must be pre-registered and verified at handover
What is the pricing?
JPY 50,000 per night with a 3-night minimum (JPY 150,000 minimum booking).
