We're outdoor enthusiasts who fell in love with Hokkaido's wilderness—its mountains, coastlines, forests, and seasons. After years of exploring by camper van, we realized how much friction international travelers face: language barriers, equipment decisions, unclear logistics, and the anxiety of navigating an unfamiliar system.

SOTOBU exists to remove that friction.

We built the experience we wished existed: premium equipment, transparent communication, English support, and a simple all-inclusive model that lets you focus on the journey, not the logistics.

Every rental begins with a 45-minute orientation in English. We walk you through the van, the equipment, seasonal considerations, and route recommendations. You leave confident.
